Accessible data for BRC members

Research data refers to the collection of curated files that support research, studies, or publications.

Our research datasets have the following structure:

  • Quantinar RS: The dataset used for the paper "May the course be with you!" Download here free of charge.
  • CRIX: the Royalton CRyptocurrency Index tracks the dynamics of the cryptocurrency sector and offers historical data from 2014. Current data for the last 90 days can be downloaded from royalton-crix.com free of charge.
  • NASDAQ News: contains 1.4M articles with features like headline, author, link, timestamp, tag, category, mentioned companies’ abbreviations and the full text. You can choose to work either only with headlines or the full articles.
  • Financial Risk Meter (FRM): helps identifying different systemic risk level in the financial market over time, starting from 2020. To find out more about how the FRM is constructed, how the risk values are calculated and get a sample dataset, please visit the FRM Website.
  • Ethereum Statistics:
    Market Data (Ether Daily Price (USD), Total Supply & Market Cap, Total Supply & Market Cap, Ether Market Capitalization, Ether Supply Growth Chart)

    Blockchain Data (Daily Transactions, ERC20 Daily Token Transfer, Unique Addresses, Average Block Size, Average Block Time, Average Gas Price, Average Gas Limit, Daily Gas Used, Daily Block Rewards, Block Count and Rewards, Uncle Count and Rewards, Full Node Sync (Default), Full Node Sync (Archive), Daily Active Ethereum Address, Daily Active ERC20 Address)

    Network Data (Network Hash Rate, Network Difficulty, Network Pending Transactions, Network Transaction Fee, Network Utilization)
  • Bitcoin Transaction Network: complete historical book keeping of Bitcoin transactions between users. Network representation at different frequencies, possibly affecting price movements, alongside historical network based indexes.

    Indexes: Number of active users, number of links, statistical moments the degree distribution (it can also be marketed as “statistics of first-order network properties"), higher-order network properties (or clustering and k-core values).
  • BitInfoCharts Crypto Time Series: BitInfoCharts provides a wide range of tools for accessing information on the cryptocurrency sphere. The data from BitInfoCharts includes market, blockchain operation, and social media data for 16 cryptos. The data availability / quality can differ from the coins due to the issue time, crypto design, and the third party vendors.
  • Deribit: This data set contains Order Book Data on BTC Futures from Deribit since 03/2020. The data comprises more than 40 GB of Orderbook Snapshots and 6 GB of transactions (equivalent to about 27 million filled transactions).
  • NFT Dataset: The data contains the top 10 NFT art collections (e.g. CryptoPunks, SuperRare) ranked by their total transaction volumes with around 90,000 assets. It includes the art images, descriptions and properties, and their transaction histories.
  • Credit Reform Dataset: The data contains 24 variables from the financial statements of German companies between 2016 and 2020. They have been labeled as insolvent or solvent. The numbers of insolvent and solvent companies are 1432 and 51703, respectively. The data can be applied for bankruptcy prediction research.
  • Trading data of up to 12 largest cryptocurrencies, collected from 8 largest cryptocurrency exchanges:
